louise_lux had some contact who was going to do an article about cons and trek fandom for the bbc or something, and he had to scrap the idea because paramount wouldn't even allow them to use the star trek name at all.
i've said before and i'll say again that modern star trek and the people currently in charge of it are a bunch of assholes and morons.
