i'm making a combination chicken pot pie-hamburger pie, otherwise known as a mashed potato-and-cheddar-topped chicken casserole. it smells good. in twenty minutes, it will emerge, triumphant, from the ~~smouldering ruins of the~~ oven.

which reminds me! that i'm converting to british spellings and punctuation. so i would appreciate it if you british people would correct any errors i may make in that respect.

the idea was that i would assemble this pie, deftly of course, in the hour before wax got home, taking about thirty to forty minutes. i thought it should still be in the oven when she arrived. but i started late, and she got here at a quarter after eleven, instead of a quarter till twelve! so she's moaning about being so fucking hungry, and i hadn't even cooked the chicken or put the veggies in water when she arrived.

ps: the student health center is building a sun lamp room in which you can book time. teehee. color me enthusiastic.
