+ [livejournal.com profile] anglepoiselamp and [livejournal.com profile] shiroi_chi:  i know names and faces and interests, but i can never remember who's said what, only that one of them has said it.
+ [livejournal.com profile] kaydeefalls and [livejournal.com profile] katsrequiem:  both start with a k...?
+ [livejournal.com profile] penm and [livejournal.com profile] permetaform:  both from pirates of the caribbean, and both start with a p!  ("didn't she just post?  ...oh wait.  that was [livejournal.com profile] permetaform.")
+ [livejournal.com profile] cmshaw and [livejournal.com profile] astolat:  they're both good writers who have been around for a long time, but other than that i honestly have no idea why i should get them confused.  it's a question for the ages, i suppose.
+ [livejournal.com profile] leggomylegolas and [livejournal.com profile] psychoticspy:  i friended both of them because they're hilarious on a regular basis in day-to-day entries, but they're not that similar.  i don't know if they even know each other.

How about the fact that if one of us mentions something in her journal, chances are that the other one will too?

Also, I was tempted to upload the icon just so we would have the absolute same icon for these comments. XD

..and what do we sound like? My curiosity demands to know, although I may regret it once I find out I actually sound like a Smurf or an Ewok. :D

i don't know. well, um. your voice is deeper than emilia's and it doesn't change in pitch as much as you speak. it's sort of softer. she speaks with more emphasis. you sound sort of weary or relaxed a lot of the time, whereas she often sounds either excited or exasperated or worried.

Aw. Well, I do have a sort of toneless voice. Back when I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, I had to go through a lot of tests and the ones done by a speech therapist were apparently the ones where the AS tendencies showed most strongly.

I just hope I don't sound weary and uninterested in stuff all the time. Because I'm not. Perhaps I, too, squee more on the inside. ;D

no no--relaxed is the positive sound and weary is the negative one. and it's not like i can't detect your emotions through your voice. i meant, hm, in overall tone--your voice is smoother, more soothing and relaxed than emilia's, a little mellifluous and . smooth. when you're distressed in some way, it tends to sound weary. when you're squeeing, you usually still sound rather relaxed.

Whee! Mellifluous must be the coolest word anyone has ever used in connection to me. *does the happy bunny dance*

That description of me sounds funky. I have no idea how I sound to other people, but I'm curious. Hope I don't sound exasperated or worried all the time, though, because... I'm not, really. I need to do something about the way I sound! Angst! Or maybe not. XD

I think I should just stop talking altogether and communicate by holding up tiny signs that say things like "WOE" or "YAY". It's all I need, really. :D

dammit i knew nothing but bad could come when i was asked to describe how you sounded!

i was trying to cover all the bases. much of the time you sound (at least a little) excited, because you speak with a bit more emphasis than the average person does. when you're distressed or in the grip of any sort of negative emotion, you tend to sound worried or exasperated because of that emphasis combined with, you know, sadness or . whatever. negative tones.

No, I didn't take it in a bad way! I'm just really really curious, because the way you sound to people is a major thing in how they see you, but I'm totally clueless about how I sound and... this sentence was doomed from the start. Yeah. But I kinda liked the answer. It sounds like me, when I think of it o_O. And as [Bad username or site: krimie / @ livejournal.com] said when I was talking to her about this, 'speaking in a foreign language can do strange things to your voice.' I think I gush more when I talk in English - like, you know, a Valley girl!! Like woah! ^____~.

you say 'like' as a filler. but most people speaking english do. just like in swedish they say 'joo' as a filler and in japanese they say 'aa' and 'na' (among other things).

i speak more distinctly in foreign languages than in english. i'll have to lose that habit ;).
