the crazy mod of metaquotes made a bunch of sticky-notes which are supposed to stand in for comments. it's a great idea except for how typing the contents of the note would take less time than typing the img src tag, and that's assuming you remember it. but for instance, i think randwise_gamgee (among others) could use



in icon form.

and on another note entirely, dear god, this story in dot_sex_snark is hilarious.
