i really wish i had a scanner so everybody could see the really pretty clownfish art guinevere33 sent to me.  it's absolutely gorgeous. all brilliant and tropical and watercoloury.  should be framed.

everybody who graduated high school with me and didn't go to a mediocre school that gave entire years' worth of credit for AP and IB courses is graduating college, like, now.  i find it kind of surreal to think about.  my life has certainly taken a complete left turn in the past couple of years. 

anyway, congratulations! wish i could be there, not least because i hear it's quite warm in LA this time of year.

Yay, you got the gay clownfish! The print is actually a photo of a painting done on silk, and is signed by the artist (all the signitures are slightly different, so she didn't just print out a bunch of cards in gold ink, which is what I originally thought).

I finally got around to mailing it when I sent out my graduation announcements to the relatives. I kept a couple of prints for myself that I mean to frame once I get them to Yale :)

Nope, am waiting for totally practical reasons - it's just easier to ship things that are flat paper, rather than under glass.

oh... duh.

see, in my case, i don't even think about shipping. it's so extravagantly expensive no matter WHAT it is, assuming it's not just a letter, that it really doesn't matter.
