we're at wax's mamma's for her belated birthday dinner, coming home tomorrow.

i spent most of last night reading entertainingly bad phantom of the opera fics that generally did a horrible job of "fixing" the ending (to phantom/christine, of course!). so far i haven't found anybody actually writing the sex, but i have high hopes for the handful of poorly-htmled angelfire pages my googling turned up. :chortle:

highlights of last night:

+ the phantom using "gross" in dialogue to mean "disgusting"
+ christine thinking the phantom said something "lamely"
+ christine stomping her foot "sardonically"
+ christine "snuggling into" the phantom's jacket--while he was wearing it, and as far as we knew, it wasn't really giantly ill-fitting
+ raoul's family disinheriting them, and christine subsquently supporting raoul in a life of leisure by her embroidery while he refused to work
+ the phantom stopping by a catholic church in the middle of the night on their way to the harbor and asking the priest to perform a drive-by wedding+confession... and the priest doing it

ps:

me: they translated "the phantom of the opera is here inside your mind" into swedish as "...here inside you"
cim's brain: although perhaps the added suggestiveness went well with the mood.
wax: cause "inside your mind" just sounds stupid in swedish.
me: it'd mean physically inside, right?
wax: it'd just sound dumb.
me: not that it sounds totally un-dumb in english.
wax: even dumber.

HAHA. your fic journal was the first place i went looking--i remembered how you said the other day that you weren't going to finish posting a wip until you revised your characterisation. i read the part you have up and i quite liked it. but then i had to google. there's no real SOURCE for decentfic, is there. dammit, i thought not.

but yes, i want smut, and yes, you could put me on the filter. that'd be great.
