my parents sent me a package consisting of something i need to file for a tax refund, and the kind of m&m's that i don't particularly like (how can you get that wrong after more than twenty years of living with me?), and a big stack of dilbert comics from my dad's daily calendar. i think i will enjoy the comics the most, really.
i spent a long time in town today, mostly shopping, although i managed to escape without buying too much. but i'm really tired, and my feet are sore even though i wore birkenstocks. hmf.
oh, and i also tried and failed twice to put money on my chip card. it was a bit humiliating actually. the chip card is all in finnish and i really can't navigate it. tried once, ended up accidentally getting the atm to spit it out. there was someone in line behind me, so i let him go, and then gave it another whack. that time i accidentally got it to withdraw €20 more than i had intended--and i didn't even know you could do that with the chip-card slot, i thought it was only for putting money on and off the chip. there was someone else in line behind me then, so i retreated in humiliation. i actually walked into the branch office of my bank to demand they change my damn card language to swedish, which i can actually read, but i couldn't figure out what line i was supposed to stand in so i decided "fuck it" and went shoe-shopping.
