so close, and yet so far!

i was so sure i was going to finish this* story tonight. i thought i was practically on the last scene--that there were really two with maybe some filler. i've written more than i intended and am now too exhausted to do more, and i think i'm near the end of the last scene now. but i'm wrung out. hopefully i'll be able to finish it easily tomorrow, when my brain is awake.
