cimorene: Woman in a tunic and cape, with long dark braids flying in the wind, pointing ahead as a green dragon flies overhead (thattaway)

so, this morning i was sitting next to wax as she chatted in irc, whining about how i wanted to chat, and to write, but i didn't want to go in the bedroom to my computer because it was dark and alone in there.

so we rearranged all our furniture.  now we have a big computer island in the middle of the livingroom with two desks and a lot of technology, but the rest of the flat is still pretty much a giant disaster.  the dog is anxious, the cats are excited, five years' worth of empire and total film are in a big stack under the pulp fiction poster... yeah.  and as i sit at the computer in my armchair, my box sets of original star trek are within easy fondling distance i can totally reach all the dvds without getting up.

last night we saw stargate:atlantis 202, "the intruder", [livejournal.com profile] isilya said a few days ago that she was worried that sga would stop being the john &  rodney show this season, but that totally isn't going to happen.  there were even more brilliant john moments and rodney moments and john&rodney moments in this episode.  and furthermore, i'm liking weir more with every episode!  she irritated me through a lot of season one, but i really like her, and i love her relationship with sheppard1, although simon bores me a lot.  the opening coffee scene--fabulous.  the beginning of the mystery--likewise.  mckay running around, caldwell's decision to listen to him, his little face when his underling was sucked out the airlock, his plans to save everybody, sheppard's complete confidence that he could do so--likewise.  sheppard's rude little aside about the asgaard was deathly adorable, even if it was kind of rude.  they were standing there!  talking in lowered voices!  mumbling!  and then "is he supposed to be naked like that" and mckay rolls his eyes and brushes by him, and ahahaha, sheppard so did it just for mckay's reaction!  the beaming inside the ship and mckay's apparent fear that his dick was going to materialise inside a bulkhead!  and i really liked this plot a lot.  the fighter bay and the fighter scenes and them stuck in the fighter together!

1. as long as nobody tries to make it un-platonic

and mr & mrs smith, which was sloppier story-telling than i expected but was still really hot and a lot of fun.
