good morning (?)

okay. well, i was not going to bed at 11 or 12 because i KNEW that if i did i'd be up early. (she said at 7 am.) er. but see. i was reading villette by bronte. bad move. and my roommate was in the comfy chair, so i couldn't write as i needed to. there was NOTHING TO DO.

so went to bed at midnight and woke up again at one, and thought it was one in the afternoon today and i'd missed my ride to the airport. jumped out of bed and got halfway to the door before i looked at the crack under the window and saw it was still dark. *shakes head* this medicine is SCREWY. totally fucked. how can i sleep one hour and feel rested? or for tht matter, five hours, and feel rested? in the past i've been known to sleep like 17 hours in a row!

everyone else who goes for spring break says goodbye. well, since i'm going to have my computer again tonight, and all next week (albeit with the evil dial-up at home), i'm not anticipating any particular bereavement. so, yes.

spring break. packing. medicine. airplanes and part 10 of wax's "void," about which i'm far too excited, given it's only 12 pages. but i do love airplanes. (defense mechanism?)

hm. well, that's enough rambling for now, i suppose.

dog. you can ignore. needed to, you know, be random about dog.

am going to see dog today. the great thing about dogs. they do things for ego. this dog can't conceive of anything in the universe better than lying down on some part of me while i pet his ears.

that's pretty special.

when he sees me he will jump up in the air and start crying v. loudly and push his head against me and not calm down for about 10 minutes. ohhhh. want. puppy. want perry. peeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrry.

50 minutes till i'm supposed to be at converse. hm. hm. don't know what to do. have hugged both roommates goodbye. reading villete, which is no better this morning than it was at 11 last night.

want to im but know it will make me late, and besides, everyone's going out of town. going to see my big sis and talk about fun stuff like sex that can't talk about with my mom on monday. guh. look at me babble!

hm. cds, medicine, books, dirty clothes, yukata, void. all check. what am i forgetting?

i fucking hate grilled cheese.

home!

have arrived after 10 hours in various airports and a lot of icky dry air and annoying people.

to make up for it my dog is doing a pretty good job of convincing me that no other creature in the history of the universe has ever been as happy as he is to see me. he even came when i called and is letting me rest my feet on him. on the minus side, my [black wool] coat is now covered with [white] dog hair.

i spent a lot of time dreaming that i was im'ing today, so that it might have added up, even, to the amount of time i normally spend in that activity each day. distinctly recall waking on the landing in charlotte with the impulse to click the blinking im box to say who it was from.

villete still sucks, but part 10 of void was even more fabulous than usual. think i'm in love with zeke's mom, despite wanting to strangle her.
