was bitten hard by a rather old star trek bunny. think i may actually write it this time--with modifications to the original idea--tomorrow, perhaps. my last fic was post-stiii. that is to say, very very late in life. and this bunny is late in life too. i seem to have a weakness for that. i'm going to vary it a bit, i think, and slip it up a bit into the void between the first two movies when spock and kirk are presumed to both be teaching at the academy.

in which movie does spock give jim the glasses for his birthday? is it the first? second? hmmm. second, i think. dammit.

i'm a bit wary of ofc's, but this story calls for one. she cannot be brilliant or accomplished, that's all. don't want to put too much of myself in her. ;)

so, today my fear of pain receded a bit, possibly because my brain was all sleep-fogged and goodness. so i ran the side of my tongue along the roof of my mouth and discovered that the scrape from yesterday hasn't healed yet, and it's deep and pretty long. it goes all the way down the side of my tongue. eating salty things hurts. stupid a;lskjfa;dskjfa;dsjfa;. heal, already.

why do i keep waking up at 9:30 am? that time is EVIL, man. it's either not late enough or not early enough. grmph.

i'm not going to bed at all wednesday night.

i want to write, because i'm afraid that if i stop to make breakfast i'll never get around to it...

The Way It Should Be

it's odd, the way the world works and the way things aren't all. neatly packaged. i mean, wouldn't it be nice if people you liked disliked people you didn't like and people you disliked liked each other and didn't like you. and people who were stupid also had bad taste in music and clothing, and people who were evil did too, so like, all the bad things together and all the good things together. wouldn't it just be, well, more convenient that way? like a sesame-street verse. i think it SHOULD be that way, because then when you saw someone badly-dressed you'd know right away they were evil, and if you saw your favorite pair of shoes on someone else's feet you'd know you'd found a soulmate.

all republicans should listen to twangy country music.
