hollsk, i'm sorry. when i came home from getting lilly, my ISP was down.

dude, things are heating up in fw_deathmatch on journalfen. anatsuno threatened to delete dl_anon if she lost her match with oulangi. apparently the latter started a vote_oulangi community. a couple of anons and lighnote_blend came in and apparently spent about 48 hours commenting and answering each other's comments. there are about 10 pages of solid votes, interspersed with shorter ones and humorous ones using the lyrics of songs. every block vote for ana was followed by one, usually two comments from lightnote blend comprising more votes for oulangi than whoever'd turned in for ana. so oulangi won, and like. whoa. i mean, i can't even decide whose behavior was the most annoying.

anatsuno, who threatened to delete dl_anon and then actually briefly did it, before bringing it back? or lightnote_blend?

(i'm inclined towards the latter, though. man. it's horrifying over there.)

uh, does anyone write bds fic that's straightforward and/or graphic and NOT pretentious?

ahahah. i don't feel that sleepy, but my eyes are starting to need three blinks to re-establish focus every now and then. dammit, i'm reading and maybe this one isn't pretentious!

don't use 'reason why' in fic unless your narrator needs some kind of local color. it's a homicidal-rage-inducingly irritating tic.

hah. disney wasn't giving pixar enough money so they've split and disney stock's going down while pixar's is going up. and good riddance. the pixar movies have been the best disney produced, in fact the only good they produced, for years and years. and they're getting better while disney gets worse.

i had a dream where willem dafoe was some kind of professor at a college i went to, who had recently lost his best friend (a medical doctor) to a transfer, and was thus to be spotted in the grocery checkout line alone (yeah, in my dream it was unusual). and i was in the next line over staring for all i was worth. daddy was there too, uninjured. but it's kind of funny to have a dream more than half the substance of which is staring from some distance at someone. i mean, nothing happened but squishing a loaf of bread and standing there.

gymastics, hamlet

gymnastics.
went to a gymnastics meet vs. florida tonight--university of alabama is probably ranked second in the ncaa right now, or at least, it was a few weeks ago. florida's nothing like up to our standards, but they were interesting. a team full of freshman and they did surprisingly well. they've ditched the bright blue and orange, apparently for purely aesthetic reasons, in favor of black and baby blue. their leotards and warmup suits were covered with silver glitter. they did a lot of falling off the beam and stumbling the landings on the vault and floor exercises, but they were very sportsmanlike and dogged. just kept trying. and on the floor, whoa, they had some EXCELLENT choreography and kick-ASS music. one piece i loved--('is that tombraider?')--and desperately wished to know the title of. they lost about two points in every event despite doing better than anyone expected. and we made our best meet-wide score of the season so far. no one got below a 9.8 on anything from our team. (the fla. girl who fell off the beam four times got a 9.125, which was the lowest they turned in.) all in all exciting. the lady next to me was watching with binoculars and that was amusing too.

started watching hamlet. mom seemed never to have read it. she kept saying in the 'get thee to a nunnery' scene shit like, 'why is he angry? why is she crying? so he knows they're watching? ARE they watching?' jesus, woman. anyway, we had to leave in the middle and haven't got to finish it yet. then rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead, unless one or both parents falls asleep (>.<) and then i'll watch the commentary on a knight's tale because, hello, RUFUS.
