the campus of my hometown university is changing a lot, and at the same time i took a walking tour of some of the oldest points of it today with BG!Andy, who i tried to talk into seeing alexander and the granada holmes, and reading wodehouse.
the last day and a half or so has been spent in making a seussian christmas tree, with a candy-striped broomhandle trunk and a pinwheel on top, and a lot of fabulous swishy ornaments. a fire to match is going to go in front of the non-functional coal fireplace in the livingroom for my parents' new year's party, even though i won't be here any more.
mental note: downloading programs a real drag on 56k.
