most of today i was at the apartment-warming of
emmuzka's new apartment, which is a really, really sweet place. it's sad that she's immediately relocating to helsinki with her cat, because it was a really brilliant place for watching slash and it was really good to have almost everybody in one place again, even if we spent most of the time talking over the tv. i'm not sure if the sentinel was better or worse than i remembered, but i can definitely note that i was surprised by how gay it was, and that was just in the first two episodes, one of which i had seen before1. and aside from the slashas i caught up with a couple of beloved people that i talk to all the time and one i hadn't talked to in a very long time indeed - so i kind of feel like i haven't done anything but talk today. heh. ♥
1. not as in, "you mean anything can be that gay?", because tenipuri still definitely is the gayest thing ever. no, but in that it's an ostensibly heterosexual tv show from the 90s... yeah, in that context, it was still surprising. even though i know allll about the sentinel jokes and the sentinel fanon. and the sentinel blooper reel, for god's sake.
