ikea consumerism: so reasonable it was your own idea in the first place

i ate beets for the first time in my life today at the ikea café. (although not very many of them.) we talked about whether we were going into helsinki and what we would do there for half an hour while chi drove to where we'd have to take the train into the city. then we decided not to after all: we were at a giant mall so i said "why don't we just walk around here?" and we looked for a winter hat for wax at seppälä and laughed a lot, because she only fits children's hats, which are kind of awful. then we saw an actual asshat, so i took a picture:

then some store personnel came up and told us you're not allowed to take photos inside the store, which i'm still trying to figure out. are they worried about industrial espionage, for example? seppälä doesn't sell anything that they don't send photo advertisement flyers of to every household in the country. i feel like i've heard of this practise before, but i still am as clueless as an au!ohno trying to identify that warm tingly feeling that he gets whenever nino is around¹. on the other hand, due credit to the store personnel for politely trying, but she was too late, though she didn't realise it. so enjoy that photo of seppälä, guys, because it's totally illicit.
