I've found a Draco Is A Magical Creature (not sure yet if Harry is his mate) story with such awe-inspiring quantities of Mary Sue injected into him that I'm kind of gobsmacked. It's been years since I've seen this much Mary Sue in fanfic, and it's extra ironic in the Harry Potter universe, where the entire thing is a giant Mary Sue about Harry already. Harry, of course, is a rather dim and exasperating Mary Sue, but that doesn't mean fanfic about how you were SO WRONG and actually someone else (in this case Draco, of course) is much more special, powerful, heroic, resourceful, intelligent, pathos-filled, sexay, and unique isn't rather hilarious. It keeps getting worse with each chapter, too. Even the fact that Harry isn't his mate (so far) is just another example of how much specialer Draco is, because if Harry were his mate that would make Harry somewhat special too, and apparently we can't have that. As for the writing itself, it's good enough - a little teenie, but polished and talented, and the premise (a great deal of invented magical background dealing with Arthurian legend that doesn't shoehorn into canon well, but is elaborate and pretty cool) and the plot are quite interesting, and likely to appeal if you're a fan of fanon Draco at all.
