cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (summer)
I've been sleeping practically all the time, it seems like, and reading a pretty broad mixture of things as they occur to my fancy, in little bits at a time (Let's add Tony/Pepper to my subscriptions! And Simon Pegg/Nick Frost! And McClane/Farrell! And J2!) I don't know where the time goes, actually. You'd think I'd've read much more in the last month or so, with all the time I remember reading. Perhaps I'm forgetting just how many things I felt compelled to finish, even though I didn't bookmark them or anything; and of course my reading time's been adversely affected by, oh, my stupid fucking broken monitor.

Be that as it may, from the beginning of May my del.icio.us account shows only twenty bookmarks, of which five each are Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes; two are Jeeves & Wooster; and while three are Labyrinth, only one of those really deserves a bookmark outside of the Desperate for Any Fiction With Grammatical Correctness Even If It's a Fucking Mary Sue Goddammit zone.

Wax and I saw her bud V for Ville (just like Ville Valo, only not creepy and ugly) today, for the first time in what seems like ages (a year and a half maybe?). See, he quit Nokia and got a couple of jobs with incompatible schedules and tried to go back to school and possibly moved to Salo and back, and then he popped up again with a cute Austrian girlfriend and a tousled blond surfer 'do that could almost be dreds, but not really. He is the least talkative person I know, but somehow conversations with him are fun anyway. His girlfriend is really nice, too, but I've come away with a distinct sensation of being a motormouth. You don't notice that as much when your conversational partners are equally willing to jump in and babble away.
