I had a nightmare that my little sister and I were trying to buy shoes for my dad at Wal-Mart and my mom forgot us there and we didn't have enough cash to call her from a payphone.

There was a secret passageway into the walls in the cosmetics section, which was huge, and some moms with toddlers were having a play-date there. And I thought that while I was in America I should look for some non-metallic lime green nail polish, as I have been wishing for it desperately for months and they don't have it here and Wal-Mart was likely to, but I couldn't find any. There was lots of Batman and She-Ra merchandise in the shoe section, though, and I was tempted.

Going back through my journal and tagging old posts, I found this incredibly adorable picture of Wax showing off the sneakers my sister designed for her at the Design-Your-Own-Converse site for her last birthday. Her little barrette! Her Cobra t-shirt! Her pink socks and her little face, guys.

non-denominational winter hat icon offer

Reiterating my post from last year:

It's that time of year when people draw santa hats on other people's icons for them, which I've enjoyed myself in the past. But as a celebrater of Channukah, I've never put up any Christmas decorations before Channukah was over, and I was thinking it would be nice to have a winter icon or two that didn't have the Christmas thing going on. I snitched the hat gifs here from pupe.jp and pasted them on some icons and voila. A couple of these I made for myself and the rest I made with icons belonging to perhael. They're just examples to demonstrate what I'm proposing: if you want a non-denominational winter hat (notice there are three kinds) on an icon of yours, raise your hand - I mean, leave a comment - and I'll happily do it for you. I can pick the icon myself, but it's easier if you give me one. Notice it works much better if it's cropped so the top of the head shows.
