shopping/chilling anyone?

Anyone want to meet me in town or alternatively go to Mylly today or tomorrow? (Obviously it's too late to go to Mylly today since it's almost 17:00.)

I want to go to that little rock & gem shop at Mylly and I also want to go to that hugely embarrassing scene kid shop on Auragatan Eriksgatan (it's between Julia and the Åland bank, right? Or is that my shitty sense of direction that could get lost in a paper bag again?), but I'm too apathetic to take the bus to Mylly alone and too embarrassed to enter the scene kid shop alone.

shoes of the day: boots

It snowed again yesterday after the blizzard 2 days before that, and as it's hovering around freezing, the sidewalks are an iffy proposition in places. Yesterday the dog pulled me over in a place where heat leakage had turned the packed snow to slush, then ice well-camouflaged among the snow. If I can't think about sneakers, neither can you (for a day)!



Short boots: Vans "Dasan" and Urban Outfitters' "Le Mont St Michel Worker's Boot" and "Short Riding Boot" (Urban Outfitters doesn't like to give the maker, let alone the real style name, of its shoes; presumably this is a misguided attempt at re-branding, because they want you to forget they don't actually design their stuff). Then a granny boot by Swedish brand Björn Borg.


Tall boots: One pair by Bronx and two by La Redoute.
