sneakers of the day

"Arret" by Nine West and "Scraps" by Guess, two examples of the incredibly tacky trend to place brand-logo-stamped luggage fabric (which is tacky enough on luggage, but at least it's meant for luggage) on sneakers. I'm an anti-fan of LV and CC monogram fabric already, but by being pathetic any knockoff is twice as tacky. Guess's brand profile has basically been 100% tacky for the last ten years or so though, and Nine West specialises in reproducing high fashion trends semi-affordably, so neither of these is a surprise.

Brother Windows and Brother Linux are Wax's brothers - hence the 'brother' part of their nicknames. Brother Windows is a computer nerd who works in the university Datacity tower doing some programmer shit, and he runs Windows on all his computers. Brother Linux is a computer nerd who lives and works in the somewhat-distant town of Ekenäs (Fi: Tammisaari) aka Raseborg, also doing programmer shit, and runs Linux on all his computers.
