My cousin's chosen bridesmaid dress arrived yesterday (it's Carmen from Stop Staring!). Of course I ran out to try it on, and I made
waxjism take pictures, because the last time I was putting together an outfit for wedding attendance I failed to get any pictures at all, which displeased some people such as
isilya, whom it is my goal in life never to even mildly disappoint.
I think you can't really tell in these pictures, but the waist of the dress makes a peak between the breasts and the bust area is pleated in the center, then gathered on the top, bottom, and inside edge of the cups. This provides a lot of extra fabric - about twice as much as needed, in fact (pinup dresses were not designed with my body type in mind), so I'm going to have to alter it. Thanks to this construction, the alteration will be simple: just re-doing the gathers and taking in the excess fabric. I think I will do it by hand.

Currently on my mind is choice of tights (I doubt the bride will approve the thigh-high striped socks pictured here. Patterned lace? Fishnets?) and choice of jewelry (not pearls. Black velvet ribbon as a choker, or some kind of heavy multi-strand deal, or a long 20's-style pendant like this or this?).
On another note, ( My sister requests I record for posterity this nightmare about turning into a bird who had to take her to school )

- Author Notes: This is supposed to be sad. Hope you guys like it.
- Summary: You will never forget the day when Spencer handed you the make-up remover and told you that you were free.
- Author Notes: I don't know what this is supposed to mean. Maybe it has a real meaning, maybe it's just words that I've typed out. Maybe it's nothing.
- Summary: AU. An emotionally-detached killer, Ryan takes the job of infiltrating a mysterious and weathly group with little objection. He and his collegue, Spencer, force themselves into the lives of the leaders of the group - Brendon and Jon, but in doing so, they end up risking their jobs, their lives and - worst of all - their hearts.
- Disclaimer: I don't own the boys, but I am Scottish! So yaaah...
