back from brother-outlaw's wedding
10 Jul 2006 12:42 amthe wedding was really great. every time i spend any time with wax's family, i come away feeling extremely warmed and happy. i've loved and relied on my extended family my whole life, and i'm lucky to have landed, halfway around the world, in one which completely enchants me.
i'm going to post a couple of pictures even though it's a bit out of order since i've never posted any of our pictures from germany and france.

this is the campground-spa-resort-spot where we stayed in a wee summer cabin. it looks great (a bit like the alps, but with no mountains, just hills), but it wasn't actually hot enough to swim if you aren't finnish.

these are wax's cousins hanna, kristofer and fanny from sweden. they're extremely cool. wax and i are going to set up some kind of goat cheese farm or something with hanna and her boyfriend. well, not really, but it was a nice idea.

our family doesn't have many surviving photos of my paternal grandmother, because all the time my dad and aunts were growing up, she was the one who took all the pictures (many of them have oblongs cut out of one edge where she accidentally got her fingers in the frame). i'm probably doomed to the same fate since
wax_jism hates taking pictures, and is even worse at it than i am. however, there are certainly some more of me from this wedding (in which i'm not making silly faces) since wax's sister-in-law (not to mention the wedding photographer) took zillions. we'll probably get to see them later.

and this one is probably the happiest I've seen La Wax look in a photo:
You both look lovely (I'm confused why you needed a shawl and the girl wearing the halter top didn't) and that particular shade of red looks fab on you.
