it distresses me that i apparently won't be able to get emilie autumn's new cd in my credit-card-less state unless we mail a registered letter with cash in it to the indie record shop in sweden which carries it. it's hard to believe anybody in the world still operates a mail order business that way. registered letters with cash? you're in sweden! what happened to the land of ikea! why don't you accept visa electron! bastards.

"oh," i said, "you mean that one where the proprietor never got that the servant album for you because he was so stoned three times in a row that he forgot your order?"

"that guy," she said dismissively, "that guy is famously skanky, but you could try that other shop, the one on eriksgatan." sure. *scowl*

Sigh. I actually tried to get you a copy of the EP as a surprise in, like, January, but then there were all kinds of delays (CD postponed due to a the cover art not being ready, CD postponed due to unspecified drama, CD postponed due to theft of major equipment) and *then* they lost my order.

So, given all that, do you want me to get you one and you can Paypal me money or send me a check or somthing? Because I'd be happy to do that.

well - i don't think i have any way to get the money to you! it's pretty much impossible to get paypal from finland; i have an american checking account but the bank's web service doesn't work and i have no reliable way to contact them so i can't set up an account with that either, plus i don't think i have any paper checks from it with me anymore! the finnish banking system is Very Secure and most international websites aren't equipped to take the special electron cards which we are issued which is why it is practically impossible to do anything. i was all excited because they have electrons in sweden! but no! the shop is too fucking indie. :|

You can get that cd from cdon.com, no credit card aqcuired. If neither you or Wax are registered there yet, I could order it on your behalf. On cdon you can pay as a normal bank transaction *after* you've received the goods. :)

Yep, IIRC the only condition for that payment method is including your social security number in your cdon account info.

Cdon is a fun place because they often have fairly rare stuff that you wouldn't think they could possibly have. :)

ah! i'd forgotten about this and finally remembered to read the whole thing! it's amazing how just reading all their dialogue is almost like watching it, especially since they transcribe the "uh"s and stuff. you can kind of hear it!
