troubleshooting and missing

on top of problems with my ipod charging - which may be solved now (knock on wood) - i am also having difficulties of late with my beloved cordless optical mouse, which has suddenly started lagging terribly in its reception - failing to click things without three or four tries, skipping and moving erratically, selecting things and dragging them when i just want to click, selecting the wrong direction when i want to select. as usual, the hardware manufacturer's troubleshooting and faqs are almost completely useless. i will be heartbroken if this proves to be the end of my mouse. this mouse is tiny and just heavy enough, and has always been beautifully precise anywhere - the arm of my chair, my knee, even the palm of my hand. i've almost never had any trouble with the cordless reception, either. that's why this is especially vexing, because it's suddenly acting like an inferior trackball mouse with a dirty trackball. this has thrown off my mood completely, making me distracted and anxious over leaving for school soon.

My optical cordless mouse was acting like that a while back, and it turned out to just be dust on the lightup bit on the bottom.

But they are the greatest things. I hope yours is fixed!

hmmm, i know mine is dusty! i just need to find a good way to clean it. maybe i need to buy one of those little air bottle thingies. i just hate to pay for canned air.
