arashispam: ohmiya and the cheerleading grannies

you can always look at ohmiya pictures again, is my feeling! and this episode cheers me so immensely. ♥ (there may be a very slightly porny ficlet-tag floating around in elfiepike's inbox, somewhere. it will be posted eventually.)

the name of the old ladies' cheerleading club (tokyo pom-poms - i think?) confuses ohno, when they're reading the letter. "foreigners?" he says, edging close to nino.



nino: no, it's the tokyo pom-poms, stupid!



so they go into the YMCA, but they're a little nervous about actually entering the gym. nino puts his ear to the door to see if he can hear anything.



and ohno takes advantage of the situation to plaster himself up against nino.



and then this happens: ohno laughing and shoving nino and



making this gay little pose. feel free to explain it to me, anyone.



then they giggle.



and enter the gym holding - well, not holding hands, but -



nino's definitely holding on -



to ohno's shirt. at this point he kind of disengages and steps forward. then they ask the grannies if they've found the right place. the grannies say yes.



nino immediately gets alarmed and re-attaches to ohno's side.



ohno doesn't mind.



so they decide to check out what the grannies can do!



they sit comfortingly close together on the floor and -



yeah. XD 



then the Chief Granny (i think it was her) expresses that they understand ohno pwns everybody at dancing so they'd love to see him show off.



ohno: that's not necessary!
nino, touching: baby, you're so modest!



and then THIS happened *__* and i may have watched it like fifteen bazillion times.



omg. nino clasps ohno's arm and ohno clasps nino's back and nino kind of caresses when he's taking his hand away -



- but ohno doesn't let go, he trails his hand down nino's arm and caresses him back -



- and then he lets go, but after a second he touches nino's back again.



and they ... talk about something.



i couldn't swear that i even tried to pay attention to what they were saying here, so i have not the slightest idea.

and then he edges closer again.



and then it's time for nino and ohno to join in the dancing!



ohno finds it hard to concentrate.

ohno: omg, he's so cute - *_*

ohno quickly gets so distracted he completely forgets to dance in his nino-watching. (elfiepike and aeslis each independently suggested he is attempting to catch a glimpse of skin here.)

well, he's right. nino is really cute.

it's constantly fascinating to me how nino is simultaneously such a good and such a flaily dorky dancer. he's so nino.

nino's been doing pretty well up until lunchtime, but perhaps he senses that ohno is a little out of it, because he appears to be trying to comfort ohno through the only method he can manage: caressing him with his knee.



or maybe he's just feeling touchy and possibly a little horny.



there is definitely a whole subgenre of nino posing defined by his sitting next to ohno - like full of potential energy, a rubber band stretched out and ready to spring back, as if something or other is merely temporarily preventing him from oozing right into ohno's lap.

(except for the occasions in which that something has already failed and he has started the oozing process.)

he looks more like he's pretending to be an airplane than like he's dancing.



i have more ohno faces from this episode than from any other mago mago so far.



ohno's working quite hard here, but he's having some trouble picking up the dance! has his nino-related distraction lasted all day?



ahahahha ♥



he can remember quite complicated dances on the stage when he performs (and he can even choreograph them himself!), but a little thing like this is giving him trouble!



nino has already mastered the routine and flops on a pile of mattresses to rest! and watch ohno in concern.



and there it is! the original face of "My Mate Is In Distress :|". this was the second mago mago i watched, and i dubbed the face thusly on the spot. look at nino's solemn little :|!!!

then they get ready to do a performance for the grannies' families. nino can't trust ohno to join the huddle by himself. or rather, nino just takes eeeeeevery possible opportunity to touch.



but ohno...



... really doesn't mind.



nino's like, "was there something you needed?"



the fuzzy flashback of love to their brief little Special Time when ohno was drawing his sketch-present for the grannies. ♥

Hi, i'm not the most regular lj user anymore, but I just had to comment here as i've been unhealthily obsessed with this beautiful pair for a while now (after having decided Arashi was by some way the cutest Johnny's group, and then having taken very little time on youtube to ascertain that there was definitely something between these two :D ), and have been desperately scouring the interweb for my ohmiya hit ever since, and actually being quite surprised at how little there seemed to be, given a) how incredibly jaw-droppingly cute they are and b) how blatantly in love they are!

I'd found a few other ohmiya fics on lj and some of them were really quite special, but had refrained from commenting cause I felt a bit stupid and the majority were some months old, but I discovered your fics on your other journal last night and read them all, and really loved them, then on following the link from one of them to this post I was just so overwhelmed by the ohmiya love that I had to comment, just to thank you for spreading the love (and finally providing me with a satifying hit, heh) :D

If you've got any more ohmiya posts coming, be sure that i'll be here to read them! I'm off to look for more ohmiya stuff now. I just hope you have comment notification on, or you'll never know I was even here...

i'm quite sure the reason english-language arashi rps is so scarce is that the canon is nearly inaccessible to people who don't have at least a shaky contextual grasp of japanese. (i gather their fandom's much larger in japanese, as one might expect!) :) there's almost nothing subbed! in fact, i think a very large portion of english arashi fandom is actually from non-japanese fans whose first language isn't english, but who might find english the best way to communicate with other fans. we're very fortunate to have a few people with some command of chinese, korean or japanese who obligingly translate things occasionally for the rest of us.
