i'm hungry, anxious and highly restless. what i should do is make some dinner and soothing tea and settle down to watch an episode of something, and then try to study for the theory of knowledge exam on wednesday. but i think first i will talk about
csi.

so, there was a bit of love for my otp here! in csi i mostly ignore the pairings, even though i'm into catherine/warrick and to a lesser extent sara/grissom, at least in that i'm happy to see them when they show up on screen. nick/greg is my otp, but i don't necessarily ship them much in canon. at least, most of the time don't actually look at canon with slash goggles on - usually i see nick, warrick and greg as grissom's adopted sons and catherine as some kind of eccentric aunt and god knows what sara is - well apparently she was the hot next-door neighbor and family friend who eventually surprised everyone by being caught in the kitchen withdaddy grissom, but until last season's finale i hadn't placed her in the whole thing. but that's not the point of that whole thing - the point is that i like nick/greg, but most of the time when i'm watching the show i kind of forget about it. (anyway, i mostly like nick/greg because of gay gossip about george and eric.)
i'd've really loved the nick and warrick part of this episode anyway, though, because they're so adorable with their brotherly bickering, and warrick getting between nick and the thugs when nick picks a fight and then turning around and scolding him! but it was easy to interpret those scenes with nick/greg slant: nicky being so upset and off-balance, getting all up in k-fed's face like that!

i could've sworn i had a memory of a warrick-centric episode from season 4 or 5 - remember, the one with a jazz piano singer who was an ex of his? - which ended with grissom in a church quietly confessing that he was an atheist. am i crazy? was it really about how he was just kind of agnostic? because he seemed a lot more open to religion in this episode. maybe he's just inclined to phrase himself more gently because his whole outlook on life is happier now that he's getting laid.
also, they missed an opportunity to really surprise the hell out of the audience there, because i'm sure everyone's socks would be just about shocked off if any mystery with a catholic priest ever, anywhere, failed to involve his illicit affair and love-child somehow. although it turned out not to be his baby, which was a tiny bit surprising at least.
, and also csi:ny, because
thegoldsky's ex was a suicide girl. it's a seriously odd feeling to be like "oh! hey, i know them, because a girl on my friendslist used to date one!"

also, we watched torchwood, but i'm not going to talk about it just yet.

- how funny is it that edward furlong is apparently going to be a recurring plot thread? i'm also wondering if that means that hawkes is going to be in some seriously life-threatening nail-biting situation later this season. but wow, edward looks really old and sad now compared to how pretty he was in
the live version of finding nemoanimal factory. (take note, kids: coke is bad. and it will make you fat.) - so far i'm not particularly impressed with lindsay's trauma. i like lindsay. i want to be impressed with her trauma. come on, guys, please don't half-ass this one. and while i'm also not impressed with her chemistry with danny, i am impressed by danny's side of their whatever-that-is (oh, ust you say?). we saw in the panic room episode of last season that carmine can really act, so i wasn't surprised, i just thought i'd mention - i'm really enjoying it.
- can claire forlani come back? she's hot.
also, we watched torchwood, but i'm not going to talk about it just yet.

Date: 23 Oct 2006 06:47 pm (UTC)+ maybe she reminds me of someone or something. someone besides kelly clarkson, that is. although i haven't noticed anything to dislike in her personality at all, so.
+ metaphysical question?: does it count as ust if it's just SUPPOSED to be ust, or do you have to sense some actual S in there from the actors?
