If I'm going to keep printing out slash, we're going to need more paper and scotch tape. The whole process is dauntingly time-consuming and painstaking, though, so possibly the solution would be to Just Not Do It. I made a second one of short pros pieces yesterday, which [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism promptly confiscated, and has apparently taken to work with her. Much joy may it bring her! And may she refrain from mocking my choice of stories any further.

Anything Goes, by Dee. Some of you may remember me talking about this one - in which D kisses B as a practical joke, but when B kisses him back, he decides the only possible course is to turn gay and get married settle down together get married. Obviously this idea is hilarious. "You printed it?" said wax. "I printed it because it's fabulous and hilarious!" I said. "And because I will surely want to reread it."

Trying to Understand, by Derry, in which D & B go undercover as gay secondary school teachers on a houseboat on the Thames, and D Just Can't Stop Thinking About the fact that B is bisexual. Andthentheyhavesex. I think it's the combination of these three elements - Undercover As Gay + Can't Stop Thinking About His Gayness! + the rather memorable setting of the houseboat that makes this story stick.

Dreams Out of the Ivory Gate, by Derry, in which B's gf manipulates them into fulfilling her threesome fantasy and then they angst. Sort of like Y Tu Mama También without the coming-of-age roadtrips and incidental cows and so on.

Secrets, by DVS, in which D takes B as his "date" to an old bf's wedding as a "fuck you" without telling B what is going on. B investigates the whole thing on his own, of course!

Precisely When, by DVS, in which B is sent undercover in a gay bar and makes up a story about his lover to scare off would-be gropers. And the story makes him realise he's in loooove.

The Christmas Story, by DVS, in which B&D commandeer a little old man's flat for a stakeout over Christmas, and fix his window for him.

Breaking Cover, by Ellis Ward. While D recovers from his gunshot wound, an old acquaintance tries to seduce B. D is openly bisexual, but has long claimed B wasn't his type, so there's some scheming from both sides.

Thank You, by Ellis Ward. Bodie, on a whim, asks for a night of illicit passion in return for buying Doyle a used motorcycle part. And does a shitty job of passing it off as a joke.

You Dancing? You Asking?, by Gloria Lancaster. B teaches D ballroom dancing: a silly and slightly syrupy bit of fluff.

Love in a Cold Country, by JoJo. B & D spend the holidays apart and then B almost freezes to death tangled in a snarl of barbed wire.

Discovered in a Crossfire, by Veronica. B, thinking they're about to die, makes his confession in the form of some oddly explicit aural sex while they're holed up back to back and picking off attackers.

Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money), by Stew. AU - B & D set up as conmen with a casual handjob arrangement.

And Close the Path, by Sihaya Black. B gets captured by a Christmas bomber from his past.

There's also the small matter of a giant M-bag at the post office. How do we pick it up? How are we supposed to carry it? Since we don't have a dolly, a supermarket cart, or a little red wagon... maybe a sled? And a couple of huskies?

Somewhat to my surprise, it's now been a week since I became really sick. I'm not exactly weak and miserable anymore, but I certainly can't breathe through my nose. Unfortunately, the free week between terms missed its ideal placement by one week.
