arashi ficlet

i wrote this months ago, seriously, but it got too long to be posted together with four other pointless vignettes and then i keep forgetting to post the damn thing. oops.

in the lead (≈1100 words), ohmiya; TOTAL AND COMPLETE CRACK from a series of chats with elfiepike. this belongs to what she delightfully dubbed the "shotgun wedding" verse, inspired by this stuff from the kansha kangeki ame arashi video, in which ohmiya... had a shotgun wedding. in a field. and then some more weddings.

God, you're quickly becoming my favorite author in Arashi. Just, your Ohmiya is so perfect, and your Sho and Aiba and Jun, and-- DON'T EVER STOP WRITING THEM, BECAUSE I LOVE IT ALL. ♥ (Which is saying something, because I'm very picky about characterazations.)

quilting au: ohno is a famous (in very tiny circles) quilting/textiles artist. (jun is his bff in art school? making FASHION with ohno's textiles!) somehow incorporating aiba as a flighty model who cries about being stabbed with pins but makes anything look good on a runway by virtue of being gorgeous ♥ and sho as jun's long-term crush and nino as a street musician who bums around on sho's couch and starts stalking ohno in a friendly and amused manner, because ohno doesn't seem to notice.

aiba's a great model because he doesn't mind having the dress glued to him.

he's like "oh!:D are we going to glue me again??? you'd better use more this time! you don't want the hem to fall down on the runway again! XD"

omg, yes. XD!!! no model can ever live up to aiba, unfortunately, so when they do have shows with more than one model (which i imagine happens fairly often! XD! or seasonally, or whenever they do shows, however it works with fashion) jun is more reserved with the other models because he's been known to get very angry if they don't measure up and ohno asked him not to lose anymore models before the shows, please. but aiba is totally who they have come in whenever they need to see how something actually fits on a person.

so really i guess it's that jun and ohno have a fashion design company, and discuss their ideas together for designs at a coffeehouse near an apartment (that they share??? and ohno won't sleep with jun anymore, even when jun is lonely, because is a little too, hm, close*. but since they spend all their money on alcohol and fashion they thought it would be best for them to share. the living room is filled with supplies. jun confessed to aiba once that it's sometimes uncomfortable) and that's where jun see's sho and has an unrequited-crush-thing, but mostly he thinks about how attractive sho is in his suit, reading the paper.

* which won't bother ohno later with nino, of course. hee. possibly jun is also the type who won't back down when asked to, so when ohno goes, "ah, matsumotosan, i can't breathe," jun grins kind of evilly and hugs harder. maybe this is how he wakes up ohno in the morning. XD

ohno actually makes a lot of the textiles that they use, but can't work fast enough to make all of them; he does a lot of printwork and embroidery. (XD!)

maybe they have a boutique, as well. like. they live above the boutique! and have fashion shows! maybe they make super-popular clothes in very small runs or something and have a big following in the subculture scene.

everyone actually meets together at the coffeehouse one day, nearing midnight, when ohno and jun and aiba are going over the latest designs and celebrating a job well done, and sho had met nino at a different table and they were hanging out and then aiba and nino notice each other because aiba's daily routine involves passing where nino sometimes plays guitar and aiba's like, it's you! and nino's like, it's you! --and now i have to work.

p.s. this reminds me somehow of ohmiya. (http://riotclitshave.livejournal.com/644103.html) most things remind me of ohmiya, so this isn't unusual, but still. ahahahaha. perhaps ohno didn't realize for a long time that nino had basically laid claim to him the day after they had met each other!

also, i just watched the xmas suguroku. omg. stocking-heads! ohmiya! JUN DANCING. IT IS THE BEST.

ohno is the slightly vacant-eyed tabby cat who doesn't appear to particularly notice nino latched around his neck, let alone register that nino's body language is conveying certain ownership to all other cats present? XD

yes, exactly. XD and maybe, yanno, maybe like jun or whomever would try to claim ohno, or just sit really close--but nino's like, no. no, didn't you get the note? and ohno is staring out the window~ or drawing~ or. yeah. :D

aiba suguroku = the board game with the stocking-heads and such. they played it on the christmas episode of arashi no shukudaikun. and um. jun danced the Special Fanboy Dance of a previous episode of d no arashi (where ohmiya investigated the fanboys of the "maid girl" singing group and took them to a hiphop club?) and um. it was HYSTERICAL.
