Last night Wax was whimpering, gasping, hyperventilating, doubling over and writhing with pain. She couldn't get out more than two or three syllables without stopping to gasp. If I were a millionaire, I'd start a non-profit lobbying group on the spot. Also, I'd slash the dentist's tires.

oh man, i am so sorry. if it's throat pain, gargling with salt water helps during my tonsilitis. just - it's dental work! they HAVE to give you the good meds. bastards.

I think this gargling was the only thing that kept her sane waiting for the dentist to let her back in this morning. However, now that she's got a better medication she's sleeping at last.

Oh no, poor Wax. What the hell, dentist? That's just -- you can't HEAL when you're hurting that badly, and it'll make you do crazy things to feel better! As those poor folks with the bleeding ulcers could attest. :( Ugh. I hope they actually help her today, and I will send you bail money if you want to do the tires anyway.

Hahhaha, thanks. The dentist was typically blase, but he gave her codeine and a tad more surgery when he saw the size of the bruise on her jaw.

I'M SO ANGRY NOW. Any dentist that I run into better beware. Do they even realize that infected roots are serious business? The infection could spread to the facial nerves.

I also feel like a dork for not realizing I could have taken the bus over to your place last night and brought some of my stronger painkillers. They're not *super*strong, but probably a lot better than ibuprofen.

But she went back there today and chewed him out properly. Then he cut her again, drained some pus (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and gave her a codeine-based one. So now she's FINALLY sleeping although it's not as good as it could be because it interacts with her anti-depressants! YOU JUST CAN'T WIN.
