I'm one of those people who - like, okay, I have to work at 8, which means walk out the door at 7:30, right. So if I want to shower, I have to wake up at 5:30. Look, I have a dog to walk, and medicine to take, and I can't leave the house without reading my friendslist for long enough to achieve some psychic stability! If you guys don't post enough overnight, I'll feel anxious and have to read Wax's to make up the deficit (so POST, little monkeys, POST!). Also if I don't drink coffee I might have a faint caffeine withdrawal headache (by "coffee", I mean 2,5 tablespoons of instant café au lait and 1,5 tablespoons of cocoa mix - aka choc au lait or Instant Sugary Chocolatey Coffee Beverage); but if I don't eat and possibly take a tranquiliser, my stomach will be too nervous to handle the coffee beverage. It's a vicious cycle that means GETTING UP EARLY. (I used to stumble to early morning statistics class without food or drink just to catch an extra 30 minutes, but that's a bad move because without food or drink I simply can't stay awake.) I am by nature and neurosis (not that neurosis isn't natural) an over-preparer. I have known people to have time to shower, eat and drink coffee when they wake up 10 minutes before leaving the house, but that is not me.

Right, but waking up at 5:30 is like, eesh. The sun is still not rising till about 9:20, and it's already set by 16:00 when I get off. Luckily tomorrow I'm done at 2, and then [livejournal.com profile] wax_jism and I will need to make a hurried visit to the Customs office to retrieve a package. And on the other plus side, after a day on my feet - the most restful part is loading and unloading the mini industrial dishwasher, I think - I'm well and truly knackered by 8pm, which... is nature's way of trying to make sure I get enough rest? Eh.

In other, extremely cute news, my favourite uncle and aunt were surprised and flattered when I informed them of their status. (I have two paternal and four maternal sets of these, so it's some sort of an honour, but on the other hand, they've certainly had the most face-time with me, and their house has always been like a second home, so -). "I never tried to be a best uncle," said my favourite uncle seriously. Hee.

I am the same way. I need at least 2 hours to settle into the day before I can leave the house, but I'm not prone to waking up very early. It makes for a lot of late starts, but fortunately I have a very flexible schedule right now.
