Oh my god, Waterlily is really pretty! And I loathe sneakers, but these are un-sneaker-y enough to pass. Are you trying to make me like shoes, here? Because I assure you, my hatred is long-standing and cannot be budged.

(So pretty, though. Ooooooo.)

Skechers has some really good so-called 'street' sneakers - they're fairly sturdy and focus on style, but they aren't running shoes, even though they sometimes look like them. The ones I used to have would probably have been pretty good for biking, actually. - And I totally agree with you about Waterlily: they're a great shoe that doesn't quite look like a sneaker or a dress shoe or any other specific thing which means they can probably do lots of things well, and look, they're slip-ons!

I actually am trying to make people like sneakers, but I'm aiming more at people who wear impractical heels or uncomfortable boots and loafers simply because they're trying to find something, anything without a heel that they can wear. People with comfortable shoes like the ones I picked out for you (my other long-standing love, besides sneakers!) are safer. :) Although really, there are lots of things to like about sneakers! It can't hurt to have a pair or two (although possibly my five or six is overkill).
