I hate "lave" and have since I started in fandom.

And "fisting hair" or "fisting the covers" or the worst, "fisting his cock". That word no longer works for anything innocent. "Grabbing", "pulling", "clutching", but not "fisting".

I have never understood the whole thing with having to quit kissing to breathe. I see it everywhere. Why? Does everyone in the world have chronic rhinitis but us? Do people think you're supposed to hold your breath? The mind boggles.

YES! Why do so. many. fics. have people stopping their kisses so they can breathe? I've started assuming that authors simply can't think of a reason for their characters to ever stop kissing.

Either that or they are all mouth-breathers.
