My mind is officially boggled, yes. It's really the cut at the top of the boot that puts it over the edge for me. So fabulous!

I really like those purple docs but I've always wondered how the exterior would stand up to the normal wear and tear. Do you have any experience with that finish?

No, mine are regular leather, but I have to say, they're pretty hardy. On the other hand, even if they're patent leather, Docs are still Docs, which are a bizarre shoe to wear if you're worried about scratches.

bizarre shoe to wear if you're worried about scratches I know, I know *g* I've had regular Docs that have stood up well but I've always wondered about the coloured and patterned ones. One of my favorite pairs of boots, had them for years, is finally starting to show its age with the leather cracking at the stress points, so I'm trying to find replacements since Cougar boots just aren't made like that anymore.
