There's one of these in every fandom and I'm always baffled anew...

Seriously though, what the heck is that "Judesie" thing about???

There's some interview where RDJ jokingly calls him Judesie and you know how fandom is with nicknames. So of course people can't just say "that was one time with RDJ being silly", it has to become a thing where it's his pet name for Jude and they use it all. the. damn. time.

Sadly it's not even just badfic authors. The vast majority of the fic uses it to some degree, which means that aside from yours and Helens' fics, I really haven't been able to read any, despite loving the idea of that pairing.

I like to think 1. is Ryan being totally ridiculous, but Spencer believes him anyway, so that the fic consists almost entirely of Spencer following Ryan around trying to give him prenatal vitamins and being solicitous, all while Ryan is like, "I wasn't actually serious! What the ever living fuck?" to which Spencer is all, "I know you don't mean it, it's just the hormones talking."
