cimoreneLast Saturday Wax and I had borrowed Brother Metal's car for the weekend. It doesn't do CDs, so we were radio-surfing and landed on a pop channel's top 10 and I heard this song, which I knew that I loved from the intro and first few lines:
Finnish pop singer Jenni Vartiainen singing "En Haluu Kuolla Tänä Yönä" ("I don't want to die tonight"). As soon as we got home from bbsitting (our local nieces and nephews consist, at present, of 6-year-old Carmela and 2½-year-old triplets Ciara, Leon, and Loke) I madewaxjism boot up Six the Windows Frankenstein computer and buy the track from Finnish iTunes. She informs me that she liked the artist's first single a few years ago too. (I only ever hear the radio in my brother-in-law's car, and occasionally at the mall, so my exposure to Finnish pop is low; and we heard more Lady Gaga than Finnish pop on the radio in our weekend with the car anyway.)
