until three years ago i played the oboe and was quite good at it, too. i wouldn't be able to tackle it again without another year's training or so--all my cheek muscles and lip muscles are gone--but i'm having the sudden strong urge to hunt up my grandmother's soprano recorder and play it.

it's hot in here, but. nice.

goodmorning, everyone. pretty day.

I have my alto recorder right here! I was just playing "She Moved Through the Fair" while waiting for my friends page to load. (Everyone with a painfully slow connection should keep a small wind instrument by the computer at all times.)

I also have my grandfather's harmonica here, on which I can play nothing but "Camptown Races."

But you should definitely hunt up the soprano recorder. We can play duets! Only without actually hearing each other. How about "Down Among the Dead Men?" Whenever you're ready; you take the pick-up and I'll come in on one.
