...was not too bad. so here i sit with water and dill pickles, more than satisfied. the dog knocked over the folding screen while i was gone, and he cowered out of the room with his tail between his legs. i had to take him outside to play with his cat!crush before he was sufficiently soothed to eat dogfood with equanimity. he is as yet showing no sign of interest in pickles. i figure it's only a matter of time.
