at high school school, a calculus exam in the cafeteria (i never took calculus) centering around a perfectioniost girl named lauren that i never knew very well, and mayumi showing up out of nowhere and i hugged her. i miss her so much.

at home and i woke up in the middle of the night to find anneth (norwegian exchange student, 8th grade) sitting on the end of my bed. she'd be 24 now. i tried to talk to her but she looked exactly like she did in this photograph we have, her senior portrait, head turned to the side and a weird smile that she never really made. and scared me. i get up, slink across the room in the darkness.

wax_jism was there curled up in an armchair, reading, wearing a voluminous cloak. i hid behind her.

and then i went into this electronics store, and upstairs was like an apartment, and all the members of nsync were there, and chris and justin were in bed together, and i was sneaking around. i used up a whole digital camera on photos of them. when i went downstairs the employees were watching me like they thought i was taking the photos so i'd be able to come back later and steal stuff. i drove away. with the photos, yay. singing nelly furtado.

then i was walking home from wal-mart, a long walk, believe me--and it somehow led through downtown past all these car dealerships, and then i got stuck in this group of people who were going through a jewelry store into a museum. i pretended to know them and they believed me, and after i helped them paint some wooden paneling and sanded glue out of it for them, they let me use their fold-down stairs to get upstairs, which led to a street-level exit around the corner via a bank, and i could get to my car and then home.

and then i was in my car driving, and somehow i was really driving from the back seat (??? it didn't seem weird), and i pulled over to move to the front. singing nelly furtado, yo.
