Haha, wow, I didn't know that! I made a lot of friends in LOTRips though. it was like the... dawn of ~modern fandom~ or something. Everybody does seem to remember it fondly. :)

It's always fun to watch a bunch of kudos come in in a row from the same person, isn't it? (I'm grateful for the introduction of kudos almost daily!) I think the last time I read any SG-1 was at least a few years ago; I've been having a lot of fun getting into it again the last couple of weeks.

Yes, your Lij/Astin was some of the very first I found! :) And lotrips was indeed a terrific fandom for the newbie I was at the time.

Hahaha thanks. Actually I already finished reading all her stuff. And then all her bookmarks. I don't know how I'd never found her before! I noticed from the dates that she wasn't around yet the first time I read SG-1 (I guess neither were you... although admittedly the fandom is pretty big and I've never read it comprehensively!), but - I feel like fandom's recs-word-spreading really let me down there. :| YEARS. Years ago that I could have read her stuff!

i actually have a big recs list for jack/daniel, and it might be stuff you missed. i only got into the fandom in 2006, right as the big SGA explosion was happening. but i went for the classic old school slash pairing instead of the john/rodney. who can say why......

also, BTW, if you haven't read Walked Right Out of the Machinery by Rydra Wong, that is also a MUST READ in this fandom, for new stuff. If you love Jack, of course.
