Did I tell you about the time we were hours late somewhere because we couldn't find my mom's keys? Mom and I turned the house upside down repeatedly and I finally found the keys on the ironing board in the hallway, under the waistcoat she'd been ironing - in the same place she'd looked three times.

I mention this so you know I came by it honestly... I found my keys in the bottom of the purse I was going to take out last night (only then I didn't because I couldn't find my keys). Like, they were in the key basket and then, with my brain turned off, I put them in the bag and put everything else on top of them, and then failed to find them when I dumped the bag out looking for them later. Because I haven't even used that bag in months, so I grabbed it after a mental debate over bag color and size and I must have literally picked it up less than 1 minute before my "Can't find keys!"-panic set in.
