1. Summary: Yankushi Raene works as an 'Okami-san' at her father's inn. With her father's strict teachings of how to become a proper host, Raene often complains about her life. However before that could even happen, Raene is informed that she has brain cancer, like what her mother had before she died. With such sad news holding her down, her father forces her to move to America to receive treatment for 2 years. Raene makes a difficult decision to abandon everything she has in Japan, and left for America in hopes that she will be treated. When almost 3 years pass by, Raene is informed by her doctors that she only has 6 months to live. What will Raene do when she suddenly comes back to Japan and notices that Matsumoto Jun has moved on? Especially when the girl now by his side is clingy. Also another person pushes his way through into Raene's life. As Raene struggles to conjure up the courage to tell Jun the truth, what will she do until her time runs out? [aeslis: That's not a summary, that's a fic.]

ngl my favorite part is how her Mary Sue has neither a real family name nor real given name. Like, it is not that hard to find out real Japanese names, thanks to the magic of the internet. And they're not even fake names that sound like they could be real (as is often the case in manga or what have you). It's like they just took some random syllables and mashed them together with zero sense of how Japanese names actually sound.

That's a good point. I wonder if she was going for an ~exotic spelling of "rain" with the given name - it sort of looks like it. Of course there's no even partial explanation for the family name.

Oh, could be. I didn't even consider that, since I was pronouncing it in Japanese in my head. But it's clear this person doesn't have even the slightest grasp on Japanese, so there's no reason to believe they actually knew how Raene would be pronounced...
