So Novita is an omnipresent brand of wool in Finland, with their yarn in every grocery store. Besides basic sock yarn they have the occasional slightly-more-expensive yarn like Puro, a single-strand pure wool yarn that varies widely in thickness.



I made Wax a hat with a vine and leaf on it from the green Metsä (Forest) colorway, but then it was discontinued! But today we were in Vapaa Valinta and they had a ton of it, and it was on sale. My sister-in-law admired it and I had wanted to make one for her too, so now that will be possible after all.

Yep! Garter stitch with slipstitch cable. The pattern is called Rue de College on Ravelry.
