ION my throat was sore for the entire afternoon Sunday, but I didn't realize until quite late that it was actually sore-sore as from a cold or allergy and not just from overuse (tends to happen whenever I talk on the phone to the parental units anyway). It was a cold though. I got some knitting done yesterday and watched a couple more mostly-boring hours of DS9 (the bright spot was a crack ep where Dax, Julian and Miles were shrunk to about 1 cm in height and had to save the Defiant from Dominion hijacking), but today I'm trying to sleep as much as possible so I'll recover enough for school tomorrow. If you miss more than 2-3 days in a row you need a doctor's excuse, and there's nothing more miserable than trudging to town when you've got a cold to huddle in the waiting room surrounded by equally miserable bastards for hours, just to be told that yes you have a cold and drink plenty of fluids. Going to school is the less painful alternative and I can always leave early.
