Today a new colleague told me an utter horror story about a (deservedly so) ex-partner who had all the wrong tea ideas, including believing you can put milk in green tea. I sympathised very strongly.

Okay, I have to admit that although this sounds gross, I have really liked matcha icecream and matcha-vanilla swirl icecream, and I love matcha vanilla shortbread cookies. I've seen "green tea latte" which I assume is also matcha latte, since matcha is bitter due to the concentration, and not just like... brewing a cup of green leaf tea and then putting milk in it, which would be fairly insane to my mind. But since I like matcha icecream so much I would like to try the latte. Maybe that gave them the idea.

Now you put it that way, yes. Oh dear. Maybe the terrible ex was just tragically misunderstood!! I love matcha ice cream and I like it in sponge cakes, too.
