We went and picked up our beautiful little pieces of butcher block for the counters (the counters not at the sink that is - the whole dishwashing area is a single piece of stainless steel) and the home center rounded off the wrong edge of one of them, but we're too chicken to take it back... and also we don't want to have to physically drive it there, because that's over an hour round trip. Hopefully the carpenters can just do a new one with a hand-held router and some sanding. Whatever whatever whatever.

Also we bought some medium blue-gray paint for the powder room and I'm gonna do a uni posca marker mural over it in white - line art, waves, maybe a bit like this or this. On one or more walls. We'll see how I feel about it. And also how I feel about the darkness. I might color glaze some of the walls to lighten them a bit after.
