Last night I failed to cast on for legwarmers three times. I mean, I started knitting them three times but they were always too loose. Today I knitted a pattern swatch for a DIFFERENT Fair Isle vest (one written for DK weight, so I can use the natural lanolin wool we bought at Stentorp at Easter). I started to do math, and then I decided not to bother. If I run out of yarn, we'll have to go back and buy more.
There are some green flower sprouts in our yard, but none of the crocus have even opened. The earliest blooms are these two adorable dwarf irises to the southeast. It's pretty exciting to see them! Our yard has some beautiful perennials, with three beds of big old lilies and daffodils, but there were no purple irises (until the bulbs we planted last fall), which are by far my favorite lily. (I don't really have a favorite flower overall - maybe rhododendron and azalea?)
