We had freezing rain (and ice-coated ground) earlier this week. I delayed work for two hours until the driveway melted out enough for driving. (It's dirt, state does not plow it, and it's 2 miles long before I hit the hard road. Ice-coated ground generally melts out pretty quickly, it's a limnal weather.)

It's too cold for ice cream! Eating room temperature food instead of hot is sometimes unpleasant for me in this weather, let alone frozen.

I'm a bit cold-blooded. Even in the summer I usually have to have ice cream with a hot beverage to avoid getting too cold.
