cimorene1. the school network is EVIL. to use your webspace and network drives in windows xp pro, you have to create a new personaje--um--identity. login. userid. whatever. within the amherst domain; you can't modify the older logons to that domain. i did this, right? so immediately all my settings have vanished. my documents and pictures are empty (moved to c:/documents and settings/all users/cim'soldidentity/documents), the windows xp UGLY ASS buttons are back, the desktop is something freakish and half my icons and shortcut bars are gone. in ie? my customized toolbars, my favorites. on the start menu, the task bar, the quick launch bar and the system tray? SAME.
