15 Nov 2002 12:30 pm1. got up at 8. read some fanfiction. was good. took meds, drank tea.
2. went to see advisor: 10:20 or so. he was very nice and signed my form.
3. at 10:35 or so went to pre-register. got all 4 classes--shakespeare; lit theory/lit crit; 'reading pop culture,' an english course cross-listed as women's studies; and another spanish lit in spanish (by female writers.)
4. no japanese, you notice. YAY.
5. went to breafast; had pumpkin pie and raisin bran with bananas and sunflower seeds.
6. took orange tea with me to logic.
7. aced a logic quiz.
8. came here to computer lab to talk to
thechaosdiva via aim express before i go to lunch and then meet with logic prof. at 1. (and grovel, right. but his class was fun today, so. am in a good mood, and i finished the quiz early and he was all ::beambeam::, so.)
ALSO IN OTHER NEWS OF THE WEIRD--
mentioned the study abroad petition. my advisor (this is in addition to the college's study abroad fellow dude, right, who was a FULBRIGHT there) has spent 4.5 months in finland, thinks it's all dandy and doesn't even wonder with the LEAST curiosity why i want to go there. 'i was in helsinki,' he said happily, 'i don't know if you want to go to there or tampere...'
'turku,' i explained, 'because i want to study swedish and the swedish-speaking minority' (a semi-lie that is no longer even REMOTELY difficult to tell). and he just grinned. he agreed at ONCE to write the letter i need for my petition so i guess we'll talk next week or so. o.0
DEAR WORLD:
PLEASE STOP WITH ALL THE STRANGE COINCIDENCES! ...or... wait. if the coincidences help me get to finland, then never mind. please carry on.
confusedly yours,
cim
