so someone--hopefully not me (wince)--took our family dinosaur computer and uninstalled essentially *all* the accessories. the version of notepad with winxp opens my recs file just fine, but as you can imagine, it's rather long, and win98 can't handle it. it offers to open it in wordpad, which is, get ready, *not installed.*

it asks for the win98 installation disc. we should have this, right? we only upgraded a year ago.

well, i'm sure we have it, but it's not with all the other computer software. neither is the box.

edit: well, at least it wasn't an upgrade to winme, right? cause then we could have all of this shit *and* a lot of crashing and other horrible stuff. fortunately, my parents are able to learn from observation that winme is horriblehorrible.
